From Hometown to Egypt

This is my journey, journey of life. Journey that taught me a lot of thing.

Hamdulillah. Allah gives me this chance to write again after a long break

Hamdulillah. Allah gives me a chance to see his world, to see how He creates this world beautifully.

Hamdulillah. My university gives me 8 months of break from hectic studies.

Hamdulillah. I have a parents that understand my passion.

Middle of January 2017.
My journey began. Almost 8000 KM far from my hometown.

6.30 a.m : My first flight of my journey to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) by MAS Airlines.
9.30 a.m : I already sat at the lounge waiting for the cabin crew to call my number.
10.00 a.m : Emirates Airline ready to fly to Dubai, UAE. 7 hours of flight absolutely tiring.

Lunch in Emirates Airline economy class

Noon of Dubai. I reached at departure hall of Dubai International Airport and waiting for the taxi. Actually, in my plan, I want to go to my auntie's house but her house is an hour of driving so, I decided to get a round in Dubai town. Seeing Burj Khalifa in front of my eyes is like a dream. Dubai, a town full of skyscraper buildings but less trees. A lot of expensive car pass by, a lot of beautiful girls taking photo, nice view of Burj Khalifa and its surrounding. I bet that if you come to this country, your heart and legs resist to leave it. Dubai is getting dark, and my journey almost at the end. The taxi driver send me back to the airport and I continue my journey to Alexandria, Egypt.

4.00 p.m in Dubai City

Once I touched down in Alexandria, all people were sailing on their dream ship. No fear but happy feeling because this is my second time travelling there. 8 degrees of temperature make me feel a bit uncomfortable.

12.50 a.m : I saw my sister waving her hands to me. We meet again after a few months.
2.00 a.m : Safely arrived at my sister's house. She served me a plate of spaghetti bolognaise and chicken rice.
3.00 a.m : Going to bed

Actually, my sister is on her exam week, so, she decided to send me away to Matrouh, Siwa and Cairo for some visits there. I went there without knowing anyone and Hamdulillah I got new friends to talk with, we become friends till now and still contacting each other. I went to Cairo by train with my two new friends. I easily got dizzy if I sit in the train for too long without doing nothing, so, in order to prevent from feeling the dizziness, I sleep along the way to Cairo.

11.00 p.m : We arrived at Ramsis Railway Station, Cairo
12.00 a.m : A bus waiting for us in front of Suq Sayarat.

Travelling and Volunteering

Second post of year 2017. Not writing for a long time is just like, you're having fever but nobody give you paracetamol tablet.

My biggest passions are travelling and volunteering. Where I got this passion? From whom I inherited this passion? All above were my parents that try hard to instill these two passion in myself and siblings. They also love to travel so much. I looked back my parents' album photo during their youth, a lot of places they visited. I close the album and take my childhood album, uncountable pictures took by my parents in different background, different weather, different posing and different places. That's how I got those passions. So, the person that always encourage me and my siblings to travel a lot as we are youth that have lot of energy is my beloved parents.

Nine months of semester break absolutely its a very long break. So, my parents decided to send me out and travel by myself. Its was unimaginable travel for me because its was my first travel without my parents. I will enjoy the holiday trip!

First menu in Emirates Airlines

The preparation was out of blue. I have very limited time to done my visas, to buy my flight tickets, to pack my clothes, shoes, foods and so on. Additionally, I'm sitting for my final semester exam. But, Hamdulillah God ease all my works.

' Why do I like travelling so much? '

' Am I from rich family, that's why I travel to many places? '

' Travel just wasted our money '

' What's about volunteering? '

' Both your passions show that you have a lot of money '

' Volunteer also using our money right? '

I'm not from rich family. My family have no any business, my parents only work in government sector, I have six siblings that currently studying and three from us studying in private school, my parents are taxes payer. In conclusion, I'm not come from wealthy family, but, Praise to Allah, He suffices everything, we have enough foods, we never hunger, we still can travel, we still can be a volunteer. But how can me and family travel so much? The answer is very easy and everyone knew it but hard to do. Be grateful on what we have today, if today was your worst day ever, be grateful on that, if today was your happiest day ever, be grateful on that. Be grateful on what we today without comparing with others.

Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque, Bandar Seri Begawan

Or you can share your gratitude with others as me and my family did. Volunteering is one way we express our gratitude and share with others. Volunteer is just not you go to old folks welfare home and feed them or go to hospital, meet with cancer patients and make them happy, but volunteer works have bigger scope than that. Volunteer works can be just near you. Volunteer work that me and my family always done to express and share our gratitude and sustenance is helping the school cleaners. During weekend, we spend our morning at school and help the cleaners clean the school. They have to work six days per week but their salary are not showing their actual works. We stop at noon and lunch together with the food that cooked by my mother.

Sunset in Brunei

Your expression of gratitude (share what you have with others) shows that you are grateful on what you have today either its bad or good. What you give is what you get back. You feel very grateful on what you have then you share with other and God will suffices everything in your life. I'm not come from rich family but why I can travel to many countries? Its all about you and yourself inside and outside, grateful on what you have and always share your sustenance with others, God will suffices all for you.

"Why do I like travelling so much?"

Yourself when you are travelling is just like water at the waterfall that always flow, clean and clear that could be drink by people. The bigger steps you take, the more things you learn. The bigger steps you take, the more experiences you get. The bigger steps you take, the more you know how world works. The bigger steps you take, the more you see how beautiful God design this world for you to explore. Travelling does not necessarily out of your country, it's enough to travel inside your country, there is a lot of  your country's treasure which has not been explored.
